15 Months

Kai is 15 months!

Height: 30.5 inches 21st%
Weight: 20.8 lbs 4th%

Kai is still tiny but dont let that fool you...he definitely runs the show around here! He is extremely strong willed and really smart...dangerous combo! He is all boy and loves to be outdoors exploring and getting as dirty as possible. He LOVES balls and has a pretty good arm on him. He is starting to talk like crazy...he can say, mama, dada, juju, jared, mam ma(grandma), papa, ball, up, tree, shut, light, uh oh, this, ouch, juice, hot, hat, fish and ho ho ho. He knows lots of different animals and can tell you what a pig, duck, dog, fish, cat, monkey, lion, and bear say. He goes to bed perfectly but still wants to wake up WAY too early...usually between 5:30-6:30am! He has started to drop his afternoon nap, usually only taking 2 naps 2 or 3 times a week :( He loves to play peek a boo and loves to read books. He has discovered sugar and has become a much pickier eater...mostly thanks to Papa. I am amazed how much he understands and he surprises me everyday with something new that he has learned. He is a handful and has earned the nickname honey badger for his random "attacks" but he still has me wrapped around his little finger! He waves hi and bye to everyone who comes and goes and gives good snuggles and kisses. He has become a momma's boy and I love it! He is fun and always keeps life exciting! We love you Kai!

Boo Halloween!

The whole week leading up to Halloween Julien would run up to me...or anyone and yell "B00 Halloween!" and then squeal and run away like he had just scared me to death! He was so excited for Halloween this year.

Let the sugar high begin

Decorating Sugar cookies...a must!

It's so funny how different the boys are...Julien used a spoon to clean out his pumpkin and was very careful not to get anything on his hands...Kai was the opposite, the messier the better! He loved it!

All Done!

Cutest chicken I have ever seen!

This was Julien's trick or treating dance...he was just a little excited!

Nice work buddy!

Surgery #2

So Kai is STILL sick! I took him to the Dr to discuss some options and after more tests at the hospital we found that his adenoids were huge and were completely blocking his nasal passageway. So we scheduled the surgery and crossed our fingers that he would finally get well after his huge adenoids were removed.

Happily playing before the surgery...poor kid had no idea what was coming! :(
I still love the itty bitty clothes...too cute!

He did so well with the anesthetics when he had his tubes put in I just figured this time would be the same...not so much! He was so upset when they let me go see him in recovery I had to try really hard not to cry along with him. I felt so horrible and hated that I couldn't explain to him that I really was doing all of this to help him. He is still recovering so our fingers are still crossed! We love you little Kai and hope you feel better soon!

All done and ready to go HOME!

CaLiFoRnIa

Derek and Heather blessed baby Camile on October 9th and almost the whole family was able to be there for it...everyone but Landon who couldn't get time off :( I was excited to see their new house and meet baby Camile, soak up some sunshine and just hangout with family! I was nervous about the LONG car ride but the boys were PERFECT! We had a lot of fun!

We celebrated Anabelle's birthday while we were there...the boys had to be restrained so they didn't destroy her new presents!
Best mall entertainment ever!

Apple festival! It was beautiful and a perfect fall activity!

Cousin time!

Preschool

I was not planning on sending Julien to preschool this year but one of the moms in our ward found a place that she really liked and that was fairly reasonable so last minute we signed him up. I was a little nervous that Julien would be too shy to go...and the first day he was really scared and wanted me to walk him in but then his teacher told him that she needed his help passing out the candy and he was suddenly just fine.

He was not in the mood for pictures since he was so scared but we did the best we could.

On the way to preschool the next day he told me that he was not going to cry and that I didn't need to take him to class. He got out of the car and walked up to his teacher all by himself. He is getting SO big!
