Julien Turns 4

Julien is 4...CRAZY! Julien is such a good kid and loves learning new things. His favorite thing right now is space and learning about the planets and stars and spaceships. He loves school and is so smart! I know every parent thinks their kid is smart...but seriously he is, he says things sometimes and I feel like I am talking to an adult. He hears something once and remembers it forever. He is a good helper with his little brother...most of the time. He loves to color and do projects. He is a sensitive little boy and so sweet. He loves to listen to and tell stories and has quite the imagination. He is curious and wants to know about everything and how things work and where things come from and why things happen. He loves to play games, his favorite ones are Candy Land, Sequence, Bingo and Hungry Hungry Hippos. He is a really good kid and we are lucky to have him!

Grandma Garner and Julie and Sterling had to leave a few days before his birthday so we celebrated a little early with them

His very own telescope!

Jamba...the PERFECT gift for him! He was SO excited to go to Jamba Juice and pay all by himself! He offered to buy one for me and Landon too! Sweet boy!

Painting his own Solar System

Landon and I got him a new bike! He loves it!

Julien's Outer Space birthday party!

All he wanted at his party was a rocket ship cake and a kinyta (pinata)

18 Months

Kai is 18 months!

Weight: 21 lbs 11th%
Height: 32 inches 41%

Yay Kai is growing!!! He is still a skinny little guy but 41% for height...sweet! Kai continues to have trouble with his health but I must say things are looking up! Since Christmas there has been 2 different times where he has been healthy for 2 weeks at a time! That hasn't happened since he was 4 months old! He has been happier and sleeping better too! I don't want to jinx anything but I am just so excited...the past 3 days he has woken up at 8:30, 7:00, and then 8:00 again today! Seriously for the past year I have been grateful when he sleeps until 6:00! Let me just say I have been A LOT happier lately too!
Kai is such a little cutie! He loves to talk and can communicate anything he wants! His favorite things in the world are balls, and his favorite sport is basketball. He loves to be outside. He loves chips and cereal and candy...awesome I know. He loves dogs and horses. He is obsessed with his Bebe (binky) and blanket and has to have them before bed and in the car. He loves to climb and then tries to jump off things. He loves to dance and is learning to sing. It is so fun to watch him learn new things and get excited when he does something new. He loves his big brother and tires to copy everything he does. He is very stubborn and definitely knows what he wants. He loves to play peek a boo. He loves to help me with everything that I am doing and doesn't want to miss a thing! He is such a cutie and so much fun!

My Trip to Hawaii...ALONE!

For Christmas Landon gave me a trip to Hawaii...without kids! Best Christmas present EVER...although last year wasn't too shabby either! :) I was able to go to Hawaii with my friend Amber and we stayed with our friend Olya! I can't even describe how nice it was to have a break from the kids and just hangout with the girls on the BEACH all day! I loved getting to see all my friends that I miss so much and it was so nice to be back in Hawaii...still feels like home to us.

Boogie boarding at Waimanalo...my favorite thing!

Sunday dinner with the Yim's was a must!
Lanikai
Ahhh! The beach is a different place without kids!!!

Shave Ice was definitely on the list!

Dinner with the girls at Shorebird
We celebrated my birthday on my last night there...SO sad to say goodbye!

Christmas 2011

I am so far behind...I can't believe Christmas was over 2 months ago...here is a quick recap with LOTS of pictures! It was our year to spend Christmas with the Garner's so we headed up North, but his year to the cabin in Montana not Canada. It was absolutely beautiful and we loved every second of it! Before we left we had quite the little scare with little Kai. The day we were supposed to be leaving for the cabin Kai was still not healthy and we still were not sure what to do. We took him to see a Pediatric specialist at a hospital in Provo. After talking with him he was pretty concerned about Kai and they sent us to Primary Children's in Salt Lake to have some tests done. This was one of the worst days that I have had as a mother. Its just really hard to first hear about all these horrible things they think are wrong with your child and then have to sit there and watch as they poke and torture him the entire day! The next couple of days were extremely difficult just waiting for the results of tests and fearing the worst...2days before Christmas the Dr called and told us that ALL of the tests came back negative! Ahhh! We could now enjoy Christmas...although we are still trying to figure out why the poor kid is NEVER healthy!

The cabin!
I guess there is one good thing about being awake with Kai SO early...beautiful sunrises!
