What a Wonderful Weekend

This past weekend so was much fun! Friday afternoon Nancy and I took the babies over to the Yim's house to help them decorate their tree. It was nice to smell a real tree and its always fun to hangout with the Yim's. They are such a wonderful family and are so kind to us. They have kind of become our family here in Hawaii. Friday night Landon babysat Julien so I could go out and spend some time with the girls from my ward. A girl from the ward invited everyone over to her house to hangout, eat junk food and watch Little Women. I had so much fun getting to know the girls in my ward and REALLY enjoyed the much needed girl time...thanks Landon!

Saturday we just relaxed and played in the pool. Then that night Janelle took us and Paul and Nancy to the Christmas Parade downtown. We had so much fun! It's still weird for me to be outside at 8 at night in shorts and a t shirt listening to Christmas music but it's definitely nice to not be FREEZING all the time! The parade was fun and they lit up the entire downtown with christmas lights and decorations...I LOVE Christmas so much!
The spirit of Christmas continued on Sunday as we watched the First Presidency Christmas Devotional.

This is a pic of Julien on Sunday...Landon dressed him and he looked like a little french boy!

Putting up the Tree

We are not gonna be home for Christmas this year so I didn't think we were going to get a tree but Landon surprised me at walmart with a "Christmas Budget" and let me pick out a tree and some decorations! I was sooo excited!!! Our tree is little but it's the perfect size for our tiny apartment. Julien loves to look at the tree and has been really good about not touching it, surprisingly. I LOVE CHRISTMAS and am so excited to go to Utah and Mexico in just 14 days!

More Fun at the Beach!

Monday was Landon's last day of Thanksgiving break so we decided to go to our favorite beach, Waimanalo. It was so beautiful and so relaxing. The waves used to scare Julien...not anymore! He absolutely loved the water and wanted to just keep running into the waves...scared me to death! Little daredevil!

Today Julien and I went to the zoo with some girls from the ward and their little ones. It was Julien's first trip to the zoo and he was not impressed. I normally hate the zoo but I was excited to take Julien and see his reaction. We were just a few feet from tigers, bears, monkeys, elephants, alligators, and turtles but Julien wouldn't even really look at them. He was more interested in the other kids running around than any of the animals. Guess he takes after his mom. It was still nice to get out and spend some time with the girls from the ward.
Once again I forgot my camera...sorry I don't have any pics.

Let the Fun Begin!

Julien has now figured out how to stand up in his crib. I put him down for bed last night and after about 5 mins he started crying...something he normally doesn't do at bed time. So I went back in his room and he was standing up hanging onto the railing. I laid him back down, told him night night and left...2 seconds later he was standing up again crying! Bed time is not going to be such a breeze anymore. I guess I should be glad he hasn't figured out how to climb out of the crib yet.

Thanksgiving Hawaiian Style

We had the whole thanksgiving meal, the turkey, mashed potatos, gravy, stuffing, rolls, cranberries and even pumpkin pie but it definitely didn't feel like Thanksgiving...I didn't cook a thing and we ate dinner on the beach! Landon's school provided dinner for everyone down on the beach. It was a littl different but definitely nice. Sorry no pics I forgot the camera.

Its Beginning to Feel a LITTLE Like Christmas...

The weather here is beautiful but I have been a little bummed out lately because I LOVE Christmas but it's a little hard to get into the holiday spirit in Hawaii. Well today it was overcast and the temperature dropped down to 71!!! Today was the first time since we have lived in Hawaii that I was actually cold...i actually wore long pants today something that I have not done since we moved here! Then tonight we went out to eat at the mall (thanks Diane!) and everything was all decorated and Christmasy...it was so nice to walk around in the "cool" air with the Christmas lights and music. Its just not right to listen to Christmas music on the beach...I am so excited to go to Utah!...but I am glad I get to come back to the sunshine as soon as Christmas is over.
