Ko Olina

Last weekend we finally made it out to Ko Olina and we absolutely loved it. It was so beautiful and so quiet and peaceful! It is the perfect place for kids...I cant wait to take Julien back! One of the best parts of all is that they had real grass...well as real as it can get in Hawaii. I realized that Julien will be 1 in 2 days and it was his first time playing in grass! He absolutely loved it! We just let him roam around all by himself while we just laid back and soaked up the sun!

When we got home Paul, Nancy and Abi came over to play...the kids are always so fun to watch!

Blessed!

Landon and I have definitely had our share of hard times here in Hawaii but we have also been very blessed! One of our biggest blessings being... a new car!!! We were able to find a really nice car for an amazing deal and we are so grateful!

The Great Aloha Run

Yesterday Landon, Julien and I did the Aloha Run here in Honolulu. It was an 8 1/2 mile run from the Aloha tower downtown to the Aloha stadium. We were pushing Julien in the stroller so we didn't really run...I probably would not have made it if we were running the whole time but it was still a lot of fun.

Trying to feed Julien breakfast before the race begins
Our little family just before the race began

Half way through the race

Julien was so good! He sat in his stroller the whole time and even took a nap!

We finished!

This year we celebrated Valentine's Day a day early. Paul and Nancy watched Julien on Friday night for us so we could go out and then we watched Abi for them on Saturday night. It was so nice to have a night out alone with Landon. We haven't been out on a date by ourselves since we moved here!
Sadly this is the only picture we have from the night, but it was a lot of fun!

I am kind of glad we celebrated V-day on the 13th because it was All Star weekend on the 14th so Landon spent pretty much the whole day watching basketball.
Like father like son

Grandma sent a Valentine package and Julien loved it...the box, the cookies, the bear, he just thought it was great!...so did we, thanks mom!

Saturday night was almost as fun as Friday night. I had so much fun watching Julien and Abi play together. They were both so happy and just kept laughing.

SO CUTE!!!

We bought another new car seat and since we still don't have a car yet Julien just uses it as a recliner when he watches his movies

Just Hangin Out...

Just wanted to post some pics of what we have been up to lately, mostly for the grandparents :)

Julien and Abi always love to play together
Pro Bowl party in Waikiki
Someone had some time on their hands...pretty cool though. It was taller than me.

This is the view of the carnival from our apartment
Cotton Candy!
Paul and Nancy bought Julien this shirt...Landon was so proud!
Probably the best meal we have had in Hawaii...free Denny's!
This is pretty much how Julien looks after every meal lately
We had been hearing people talk about how bad centipede bites are and were confused until we saw this on the way home from church...definitely not the same as the centipedes back home. Its hard to tell from the pic but this sucker was seriously 8 inches long...and yes it was dead, there is no way Landon would have gotten that close if it was alive. We just kept saying,"where are we?"
Julien loves to stick his head in the washer and laugh because it echos, its pretty cute!
Beautiful Waikiki sunset

Brand new car seat...$130.00 Brand new stroller...$120.00 Our friends stroller...$300.00 All our snorkel gear and boogie board...$150.00 Our one and only car...$3,000.00 Living in Hawaii...priceless HAHAHA Not so much!!!
Yesterday we added another chapter to our book, Our Crazy Hawaiian Adventures. Landon had planned to take me on a whale watching cruise for my birthday and I was so excited! We got up early and headed downstairs only to find an empty parking spot. Ya thats right someone stole my freakin car on my BIRTHDAY!!! We called 911 and had to hold for 10mins...glad I wasn't dieing. We filed a report and the little bit of hope that they gave us that sometimes people will steal a car to commit another crime and then just leave the car somewhere...so I guess thats what we are hoping for. We called our insurance and found that we only have liability so if our car is not found then we are pretty much just out of luck...Awesome!
So the day started off awful but I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for all the birthday wishes, especially to Landon, Nancy, Paul, Mom and Dad and Mark and Diane for brightening my day!!! I had a great birthday, minus the whole stolen car thing.

I had a gift card to MAC so Nancy took me to the mall and played with Julien while I got my makeup done.
